Haha, Xigbar? I guess Axel is hard to recognize when his hair is not in hedgehog mode... I'm actually surprised no one has complained, I kinda thought I'd get a 100 people yelling 'THAT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE AXEL' at me after posting this. XD
Thanks! I put a photo of a window with raindrops on it on a layer above the drawing and changed the blending mode to vivid light, I think it was. Lowered the opacity a bit, and presto! I use photoshop 7.
It's all thanks to the magic of layer effects, my friend! I put a layer with a photo of a window with raindrops on it on top of the drawing, changed the blending mode and that's really all there is to it. It IS a pretty neat effect though!
No, I work in photoshop from scratch. But I guess I used the photoshop equivalent of watercolors maybe... I painted everything in greyscale first, then added some really simple layers of color to the skin and hair. Otherwise all color would have come from the texture layer, which just looks kind of cheap and artificial.
Haha, yeah, I thought it added a little extra ! It's the easiest thing in the world to do, I just put an image of a windowpane with raindrops over everything and set it to vivid ligt or whatever it was.
